Where government is weak, communities are stronger. They are the front lines, experts, and practitioners. They’ve been there since time immemorial, and they are not going anywhere. We at Home Planet Fund knew this and have seen our partners prove this out daily, from regenerating glacial watersheds in Central Asia to rehabilitating grasslands for animal migration in East Africa. I’m glad to have contributed to this report and hope it’ll further cement the need to give and to trust Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. We have no time to waste.
