One Earth is a nonprofit organization that drives collective action to solve the interconnected crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.
In partnership with Jonas Philanthropies and One Small Planet, One Earth recently previewed insights in a primer from their upcoming report on the flow of private capital to climate solutions – Minding the Gaps: Indigenous-Led Nature-Based Solutions—and it’s exactly what the world needs right now. This report doesn’t mince words and shines a powerful light on the essential role that Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLC) have played—and continue to play—as the stewards of Earth’s most biodiverse and fragile ecosystems. Despite their irreplaceable contributions, IPLCs have been historically overlooked and underfunded. The initial insights make a compelling case: supporting Indigenous-led solutions is not only a moral imperative—it’s also the smartest, most effective strategy for protecting the planet’s remaining intact ecosystems, preserving vital carbon sinks, and building resilience in the face of climate chaos.
We at Home Planet Fund are honored to be highlighted as a leading Non-Profit Intermediary Partner by this powerful coalition. This recognition fuels our mission and deepens our commitment to uplifting Indigenous leadership in the fight for a livable future.
