“I believe Indigenous communities have lived in balance with nature for generations. Their wisdom is carried through lived experience, passed from elders to younger generations, and rooted in deep respect for community and the natural world. In trust-based philanthropy, our role is not to impose solutions, but to recognize the strength that already exists and stand alongside communities with humility, patience, and long-term commitment.”
