Whether it’s stopping a dam from being built, protecting a temperate rainforest, or defending access to clean drinking water, true and lasting change always begins at the grassroots level.

Lisa learned to treasure wild places while camping with her family in Wyoming. She found her passion for activism at Colorado College, where she helped create the school’s first recycling program and engaged in organized protests against apartheid. A 20-year veteran of Patagonia, Lisa created and expanded the company’s international environmental grants program, which donated more than $20 million to grassroots organizations worldwide in 2022.
