In the communities where Home Planet Fund works, the health of the natural resources—the water, the forest, and the land—is directly tied to the health and economic well-being of the people who live there.

Sanjay began his career working with rural communities in the semi-arid tracts of the desert state of Rajasthan, India. He has continued that trajectory by helping culturally diverse communities conserve and better govern their natural surroundings to improve their lives and livelihoods. Sanjay earlier served as the Executive Director of Foundation for Ecological Security and presently serves as the Head of Agriculture, Livelihoods and Climate Change with ECHO India. He applies his expertise in this area by using the ECHO model to democratize knowledge, information and expertise, and leverage technology to distribute the ability to problem-solve across Communities, Civil Societies and Governments to address complex societal issues.
